Nancy’s Bio

Nancy Butler’s professional life includes 20 years at The University of Illinois at Chicago: five years as the UIC Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and 15 years in the College of Business Administration as Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the Career Center. In addition, Nancy was an Outplacement Consultant with Mulligan and Associates, and the Director of the Montessori School of Lisle.

Nancy began teaching yoga and wellness seminars in1995 after her certification to teach by the Temple of Kriya Yoga, Chicago, Illinois. She then built a yoga program in the Chicago Park District. During her 12 years with the Park District, Nancy designed classes for adults, seniors, children, prenatal women and Moms with Babies.

She has been featured on Cable TV in Chicago. In 2007, she filmed her video, “I Can Do This Yoga”, with HESPERUS FILMS.

In 2007 Nancy moved to Indiana and started a yoga program at DePauw University: students, faculty, staff and community members all enjoy her gentle way of teaching.
She has three children, six grandchildren and many surrogate pets.
