The Five Fold Path To Well Being was born in print in 2008. Step One (or step "w") involves consuming water with minerals for optimum hydration and six half-cup servings of fresh fruits and vegetables daily (see diet details below.)

The Water Cure Recipe: Drink ½ your body weight of water in ounces, daily. Example: 120 lbs requires 60 oz. of water daily. Use ¼ tsp of unprocessed sea salt for every quart (32 oz) of water. As long as you drink the water, you can use the salt. Avoid table salt, it has only three minerals. Caffeine and alcohol are diuretics that remove water from the body. For every 6 oz. of caffeine or alcohol, drink an additional 10 to 12 oz of water to rehydrate yourself.

Drink 16 oz of water before breakfast: put the water where you will see it when you wake up. Drink 16 oz two hours after breakfast, after lunch and after dinner. Bring a bottle of water into your car, and keep water on your desk. Drink more water when you exercise.

Water-based foods (fruits and vegetables)

Health and comfort depend on digestion, which is aided by water and fiber. Fruits and vegetables play an important role by providing both. They help process the fuel from our foods, while eliminating the toxins. Toxins can lead to diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and some cancers. Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best sources for fiber and nutrients. “An apple a day…”
Consume at least six ½-cup servings a day (even more if you wish).
Do not peel because most of the nutrient value is just under skin level.
Cook vegetables `al dente’, less cooked the better.
Include blueberries and broccoli several times a week.
Eat vegetables with protein and vegetables with starches. The water in the vegetables will help your digestion.
